The Huawei P40 Pro will be the company’s newest flagship phone for next year. According to Huawei, they are expecting to launch the phone by the end of March 2020.
It’s still a few months from now but we’ve been seeing a lot of details of the much anticipated device from the Chinese tech-giant. Here’s what we know so far.
With regard to the front screen, an allegedly leaked photo of the Huawei P40 Pro has surfaced online. The photo shows a tempered-glass front display. The screen has extremely thin bezels and is notch-free. Huawei will either integrate a pop-up mechanism for the front camera, or use the newest under-display camera technology.
Another important feature of Huawei P40 Pro that everyone is looking forward to is its camera. Preceding other Huawei devices which brought significant innovations in smartphone photography, we expect nothing but superb camera from the new device.
According to the leaked official poster shared by the Chinese website ITHome, the Huawei P40 Pro sports five rear cameras. The Leica branding is still present. The four cameras are stacked with each other, while beside is the rectangular-shaped lens.
The four cameras consist of the 64-megapixel Sony IMX689 main sensor, a 20-megapixel ultrawide lens, a 12-megapixel periscope telephoto, a camera for depth of field, while the rectangular camera is the 3D TOF (time of flight).
As reported previously, the Huawei P40 will have an OLED matrix, an in-display fingerprint scanner, a battery of at least 4,000 mAh capacity. It will use a Kirin 990 chipset and will be operating an Android 10, without the Google Play and services.
As of now, these are all unconfirmed information. We’ll have to wait for Huawei’s announcement in the coming weeks. Still, couldn’t wait to see what the Huawei P40 Pro has in-store.
