Due to some internal problems, the LG G7 — the company’s supposed flagship for 2018 — has been delayed. But thanks to this new leak, we now know that LG is almost ready to launch their latest high-end smartphone
The device is rumored to be called the LG G7 ThinQ. It bears the same name that their latest LG V30s have. The term “ThinQ” refers to the devices’ AI capabilities, and we fully expect that feature on the new G7.
Artificial Intelligence is now present in most flagship and even midrange devices today. Hence, it is no surprise that the G7 ThinQ will also sport it. Additionally, this handset will also adopt the display notch trend.
The notch will house its front camera and the LED notification indicator that is sitting on top of its 6.1-inch screen which is rumored to be an OLED panel. There’s the lock/power button on the right, while the left side also has a single button that is expected to be a dedicated AI toggle.
The report also includes a screenshot that shows some of the device’s key specifications which confirms its Snapdragon 845 chipset, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage that was also previously leaked.
It is expected to be out on the market in May. LG might finally hold an official announcement event later this month.
