Old clamshell mobile phones are the new thing.
Samsung still has high hopes for their smartphone with clamshell form factor as they are rumored to release another follow-up to its clamshell line-up. From the Hennessy (2013), Galaxy Golden (2013), G9098 (2014), and last year’s W2016 — Samsung didn’t stop producing flip-phones over the years.
This time, the company is betting on the Exynos 8890 to make it fly. The camera is a 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel shooter, striking a resemblance to the Galaxy S7’s configuration. There’s still two 3.9-inch HD (1280×720) Super AMOLED displays.
There’s not much information available as of the moment, but it’s very likely that it’ll be dust and water-resistant like the S7. A glass and metal construction is also expected.
Unfortunately, this handset is set to be available exclusively to China just like its predecessor.
