Samsung might be going to release the first ever mobile phone with a foldable screen and the industry has been trailing the details about it for several months now.
According to The Investor, Samsung Electronics unveiled this news to select clients at a CES 2018 trade show in Las Vegas, last January 12.
‘Galaxy X’ will house a 7.3-inch display that can be folded in the middle – inward and/or outward. Sources from CES said that the inward folding feature has a “more drastic curvature rate” compared to the outward folding feature. Due to this, the company might first release the inward fold type.

Though it is still unclear whether they will release a single foldable screen or two hinged distinct panels, the tech giant has been experimenting the bendable OLED panels for years so these rumors could be possibly coming to light soon.
Most of the details about the Korean tech giant’s soon-to-be flagship are still unknown and the potential release date is still unsure, leaving tech enthusiasts waiting until 2019.
