Xiaomi is yet to reveal the Redmi Note 5, but we’re already seeing a possible “mini” version of it. A photo posted on Weibo shows a stack of retail boxes that appear to be of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A.

The rumored Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is expected to be the cheaper alternative to the upcoming Redmi Note 5. But judging by the leaked specification details, the Redmi Note 5A already packs some pretty interesting hardware.

As per the Weibo post, the Redmi Note 5A will sport a 5.5-inch 1080p panel. It is said to also have a Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor — which clearly points to its budget to mid-range status.

The Note 5A will also follow the Mi 6’s footsteps directed to the dual-camera revolution. According to the report, the device will have a 13-megapixel Omnivision rear camera and another 12-megapixel accomplice with a wide-angle lens.
