Globe has finally released its first prepaid eSIM, but there’s a catch: it is only for travelers coming to the Philippines.

As most of you already know, one of the benefits of eSIMs is that you can easily switch to a local carrier when traveling, so you can stay connected online. That’s exactly what the Philippine telco is offering with the Globe Prepaid Traveler eSIM.

Globe says that their traveler eSIM can be purchased even before travelers land in the Philippines, sparing them from the hassle and long queues. It’s priced at Php750 with 20GB of mobile data valid for 15 days.

Initially available on iOS and soon on Android, tourists can easily have access to Globe’s mobile network once they complete the SIM registration upon arrival.

Travelers can avail of the Prepaid eSIM via the GlobeOne app, which also has a built-in compatibility checker to make sure their devices are eSIM-ready before making the purchase.

After the purchase, travelers can instantly download and install the eSIM on their device.

Bear in mind that, in line with the SIM Registration Act, all traveler eSIM must be registered before use and is valid for up to 30 days.

If your device is not eSIM-compatible, you can check the Globe physical traveler eSIM that starts at Php300 with 10GB of data valid for 7 days.
