PLDT has successfully tested 50G Passive Optical Network (50GPON), a first in the Philippines. The said technology is the latest and fastest innovation in Passive Optical Network (PON).
As per PLDT, the 50GPON will allow them to deliver 50Gbps of speeds for every equipment port. That’s substantially higher than current technologies such as GPON at 2.5Gbps and XGS PON at 10Gbps.
