Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, has achieved a new milestone by becoming the most subscribed YouTube channel. Over the weekend, he surpassed T-Series, a Bollywood production company that had held the title since overtaking PewDiePie in 2018.
Donaldson marked this achievement with a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “After 6 years we have finally avenged Pewdiepie.” He shared a screenshot showing his channel’s subscriber count compared to that of T-Series. This is significant because Donaldson had previously supported PewDiePie during his 2018 competition with T-Series for the top subscriber spot.

On Saturday, the day his channel overtook T-Series, Donaldson revealed that it was the largest daily increase in subscribers his channel had ever experienced. As of writing, MrBeast boasts 271 million YouTube subscribers.
This isn’t Donaldson’s first record-breaking achievement on YouTube. In August of last year, when his channel had 174 million subscribers, he announced that one of his videos had garnered the highest number of views within 24 hours for a non-music video.

MrBeast’s popularity on YouTube has been growing steadily in recent years. His most-watched video, a real-life version of Netflix’s Squid Game, has accumulated over 600 million views to date. Many of his recent uploads have also accumulated hundreds of millions of views.
