A board game based on the popular first-person shooter franchise, Call of Duty, is in the works, bringing a more family-oriented experience than what it is generally known for—Call of Duty: The Board Game.
In bringing the project to life, Activision partnered up with board game publisher Arcane Wonders, alongside Evolution and Genuine Entertainment. And to go along with the game’s announcement is a short 26-second trailer that shows a Marvel Studios style of presentation. There is nothing to show about the board game’s actual play style yet, but Call of Duty: The Board Game is described as a fast-paced mix of strategy, tactical planning, and combat.

Adding to the interest, Arcane Wonders shared a few tidbits about the developing board game, citing a variety of game modes and scenarios to spice up the experience of playing the game, and with the action taking place across different maps from multiple Call of Duty games. Furthermore, combat skills and a slew of arsenals will be highlights of the game, giving players various ways to defeat opponents.
Preorders on Call of Duty: The Board Game starts in Fall at Kickstarter.
More information about the game will be revealed in the coming months as it nears release.
