Sennheiser is the latest audio brand to jump into the open-ear earbud trend. The company unveiled its Sennheiser Accentum Clip, giving customers another option in a market that has become crowded with similar designs.
Instead of plugging your ear canal, these earbuds rest gently on the outside of your ear. A soft silicone band hooks around the back of your ear to keep them secure. Each unit is quite light, weighing only 6.8 grams, which is about the same as a plastic hotel key card.
The sound comes from 12mm drivers inside each bud. Sennheiser says these produce clear vocals, solid low-end response, and smooth high frequencies. There is also a feature that automatically changes the sound profile when you turn the volume down, so the music does not lose its richness at lower levels.

If you like to fiddle with audio settings, the companion app of the Sennheiser Accentum Clip gives you a five-band equalizer to play with. You can also save your favorite adjustments and share them with other users. A built-in tool called Sound Check walks you through the process of finding your perfect tuning.
One clever design choice is the way the speakers are angled. Sennheiser claims this keeps the audio aimed at your ears instead of spilling out to bother people nearby.
The touch panels on each earbud let you skip tracks, change the volume, and answer calls with a few taps. They are also built to handle light rain and sweaty workouts, thanks to an IP54 water and dust resistance rating.

For battery life, you get about 9 hours of playback from a full charge. The carrying case holds enough power to top up the earbuds three more times before it needs to be plugged in. That gives you roughly 36 hours of total listening time between charges.
The earbuds support Bluetooth multipoint, which means you can pair them with two devices like a phone and a laptop at the same time. You can also use just one bud if you want to keep an ear free for conversations. For phone calls, a pair of microphones with AI background noise reduction helps keep your voice clear even in busy environments.
Sennheiser is releasing the Accentum Clip in phases. The first wave includes Canada, China, and regions in Central and South America. The UK and Europe will follow later, but the company has not confirmed any timeline for other markets. The price is set at around $190 (~Php11,000).
