It features a unique design, great cameras, and other unique features that you don’t usually on smartphones at this price.
Priced at around Php13,000, the Realme 5 Pro is not your only option for the price. Just recently, the Huawei Nova 7i has been announced as a new competitor in this price segment.

Hardware-wise, I think we have a clear winner here. As what you just saw, the Huawei Nova 7i clearly beats the Realme 5 Pro in a lot of areas.
There’s the large 6.4-inch Full HD+ LCD screen, which is slightly bigger than the 6.3-inch display that the latter has. It even has a punch-hole on the top left for the selfie camera. That’s a cleaner and cooler look than the notch on the Realme 5 Pro.
Huawei’s latest also took the win in the processor department. As per a lot of performance reviews, the Kirin 810 processor on the Nova 7i delivered better benchmark scores and real-world performance than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 on the Realme 5 Pro.
The Huawei Nova 7i also took the win in the battery department. It comes with a 4,200mAh capacity, versus the 4,035mAh on the competition. It even has a 40W Huawei SuperCharge support. That’s two times faster than the 20W VOOC 3.0 on the Realme devices.
Both phones are almost identical in the camera department. They share the same 48-megapixel primary cameras, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, 2-megapixel macro, and 2-megapixel depth sensor.
Actually, this is the same camera configuration we’re seeing in a lot of devices in this category, so it’s no surprise that they share the same setup.
The Huawei Nova 7i has better hardware than the Realme 5 Pro, no doubt about that. However, it has one major flaw that might be a big turn off for a lot of people.
That is, of course, the lack of Google Mobile Services support. It looks like Huawei is not fighting it anymore and has started working on their own versions of Google apps, instead.
The company is filling up its own App Gallery with tons of selection for Huawei owners. However, I bet most people would still prefer the reliability of GMS — something that you can find in the Realme 5 Pro.
