There’s not a lot of exciting things happening in the power bank industry. Why would there be? These are just portable, external battery supply. But even so, ASUS still came up with the ZenPower Slim.

Like I said, power banks are “portable”. However, quite a lot of manufacturers today kind of missing that point — which is still quite forgivable. The new ASUS ZenPower Slim sure is sleek, but it only has 3,000mAh of Li-Po power stored.

This is the inevitable reality of today’s technology. You’re either sacrificing the portability and design for performance, or vice versa. The ZenPower Slim might not have a substantial capacity of 10,000mAh and up, but it sure is one of the slimmest and lightest power banks out there.

The ASUS ZenPower Slim is only 8.3mm thick, almost the size of a regular smartphone. Furthermore, the company is also bragging that it is the lightest power bank in the world at only 81g. The device’s design also looks pretty elegant, with a “hairline” aesthetic touch, and glossy finish on top.

And just like most battery packs out there, the ZenPower Slim’s marketing materials are bombarded with safety graphics. It is said to have ASUS’s OiwerSafe technology, which consists of temperature, reset, short circuit, input over voltage, over charge/discharge, and output over current protections.

It also charges for 4.5 hours with DV 5V/1A via a standard cable that it comes with, or pretty much any cable you have. The device also features three LED indicator lights and an LED torch.

The ASUS ZenPower Slim 3000mAh power bank is now available in Lazada for Php519.
