The new set of Zenfones is now in PH.
The much awaited Zenfone 3 Series finally made its way to our shores yesterday, August 14. We’re getting all five of the newest Zenfones, including the recently unveiled Zenfone Max and Zenfone Laser. There’s a lot to choose from, so here’s a price list of the Zenfone 3 Series.
When compared to last year’s models, these new phones obviously got a slight bump in price. But that’s okay, as they are now more premium and more powerful than ever. In my opinion, the raise in price is justified by the use of high-quality aluminum materials instead of the plastic body we’ve seen on the Zenfone 2. Another reason is the increase in base storage – the cheapest Zenfone 3 that you can get in the Philippine starts with 4GB and 64GB of internal storage, compared to the 4GB / 32GB of the previous model.

There’s a fingerprint scanner at the back of these Zenfone 3s to help with security, and it’s all on running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with ASUS’ own Zen UI. Intel processors which used to power Zenfones are now replaced with Qualcomm SoCs. Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Ultra, and Zenfone 3 Deluxe all join the USB-Type C movement, as companies hope to push the new standard and migrate away from the legacy microUSB 2.0. Unfortunately, both Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 Laser didn’t get the upgrade.
There’s so much to like about these devices and I’m sure that it’s going to be a major hit just like its predecessors. If you can check it out in a store, you’d definitely agree with the points I’ve listed above.
The Zenfone 3 Series will be available on all ASUS stores and kiosks nationwide starting today. We’ve been very impressed by the smartphones and I honestly think that they’re one of the best buys in the market.
