Black Shark, best known for its gaming smartphones and accessories, has hinted at the imminent release of its first-ever smart ring. While specifics about the health and fitness-oriented device remain limited, Black Shark has shared some intriguing features.
One highlight is the device’s impressive battery life—Black Shark boasts that their smart ring can last up to 180 days on a single charge. This figure significantly surpasses the battery life of the Galaxy Ring from Samsung, which is expected to provide a runtime of only five to nine days after being fully charged.
However, it’s important to note that Black Shark has not clarified whether the 180-day battery life pertains to active use or stand-by time—the latter simply indicating how long the device can remain powered without any active usage. This distinction is critical as stand-by time does not reflect the actual battery life during typical daily operation.

For context, most smart rings currently available on the market typically sustain a battery life ranging from five to seven days with a full charge. For instance, the Oura Ring Gen3 offers up to seven days of use between charges.
Additionally, Black Shark’s smart ring is set to feature an ultra-slim profile at just 2.2 mm in thickness, which the company says will ensure comfort for continuous wear. This design is even slimmer than the already comfortable Oura Ring Gen3, which measures 2.55 mm in thickness.
The upcoming smart ring from Black Shark is also touted to provide extensive health monitoring capabilities, including precise measurements of heart rate, body temperature, blood oxygen levels, and Heart Rate Variability (HRV).
Black Shark smart ring’s official price and release date are still unknown, but the teaser indicates it’s coming very soon.
