Samsung Electronics has announced that its latest One UI 6.1 update, which includes Galaxy AI features, will soon be available for a broader range of devices. Previously exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy AI is set to extend its reach to older models such as the Galaxy S22 series, Galaxy Tab S8 tablets, as well as the Galaxy Z Flip4, and Galaxy Z Fold4.
One UI 6.1 enriches user experience by integrating several Galaxy AI functions. These include Live Translate, Circle to Search with Google, Transcript Assist, Chat Assist, Interpreter, AI-Generated Wallpaper, Browsing Assist, Note Assist, Generative Edit, and Edit Suggestion.
Galaxy AI aims to enhance communication by breaking down language barriers. Its tools, such as Interpreter, provide split-screen speech-to-text translation, making international travel more accessible. Live Translate facilitates real-time text and voice translations during phone conversations, and Chat Assist allows users to effortlessly communicate in multiple languages and fine-tune the tone of their messages.

Productivity and information accessibility are also key benefits of the One UI 6.1 update. For instance, Circle to Search with Google simplifies web interactions with a straightforward gesture, and Note Assist helps with organizing tasks by automatically formatting and summarizing content. Browsing Assist can condense and translate webpage articles, while Transcript Assist enables users to easily generate precise translations and meeting summaries.
The roll-out of this update is scheduled to begin in early May 2024 for the specified Galaxy S22 and Z series smartphones, along with the Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets.
