The newly announced OPPO Ace 2 boasts exceptionally fast 65W wired and 40W wireless charging. But for users to take advantage of the world’s fastest wireless charging (for now), they must have the phone’s optional accessory, the OPPO AirVOOC wireless charger.
The OPPO AirVOOC wireless charger features a 40W wireless technology that only takes 56 minutes to fully charge the OPPO Ace 2‘s 4,000mAh battery. The charging dock comes with a built-in fan to help keep the generated heat in check.
In comparison, Xiaomi unveiled its 30W wireless charging tech last year that took 69 minutes for a 100-percent charge. The best that Samsung and Apple have to offer is 15W and 7.5W wireless charging, respectively. To those who still prefer wired charging, the OPPO Ace 2’s 65W SuperVOOC requires 30 minutes to reach a full charge.
The OPPO AirVOOC wireless charger is sold separately with an official price of 249 yuan (approximately ₱1800).
