Alcatel just launched the new Alcatel U5 HD, an instant follow up to the U5 that was announced earlier at Mobile World Congress.
Though the price is yet to be announced, the spec sheet suggests that the Alcatel U5 HD belongs to the budget segment.
Right off the bat, we have a 5-inch IPS 720p display. We also have a pretty standard MediaTek quad-core processor, with only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.
Furthermore, the Alcatel U5 HD’s claim to fame is its 8-megapixel selfie camera partnered with an LED flash. There’s also a 13-megapixel shooter at the back. The camera itself has a few tricks up its sleeve. There’s the FaceMask for some Snapchat-like live filters, a thing called Face Show for animated GIFs. Lastly, there’s the Instant Collage which is self-explanatory.
