The Android 14 update has finally rolled out and just like its predecessors, Google Pixel phones are the first to get it.
Unlike major Android upgrades over the years, Android 14 is a smaller update with subtle changes, and honestly, we prefer it this way. Why? Because instead of coming up with something entirely new, the developers have focused on improving and ironing out the system for a much better user experience.
That said, a lot of the improvements lie under the hood. A whole lot of them are bug fixes and stability enhancements, as well as better accessibility and security.

Health Connect is also baked in on Android 14 to collate all your health data and share just the right amount on select apps.
The Android 14 update is now available for download on the Pixel devices listed below:
- Google Pixel 4a 5G
- Google Pixel 5/5a 5G
- Google Pixel 6/6 Pro/6a
- Google Pixel 7/7 Pro/7a
If you own these devices, you should’ve already gotten a notification informing you to start the update. If not, simply head to Settings > Software Update.
The Android 14 rollout comes alongside the announcement of the Pixel 8 series.
