It looks like ASUS really wants to make a strong presence in India, a country that’s been sought to be one of the biggest markets for smartphones.
A proof to this is the release of a new 5.5-inch ASUS Zenfone Go. Before this device, ASUS already released a 4.5-inch version of this handset late last year. And before the year ended, they also unveiled a phablet variant of the Zenfone Go, which has a ginormous 6.9-inch screen.
A lot of smartphone manufacturers are looking at India as a huge market that’s why some of their devices are initially launched there. One example of this is the recently announced Vivo V5s. The V5s has been launched in India a few weeks ago. On the other hand, it will make its way to the Philippines almost three weeks later this coming May 19.
Going back to the device, the 5.5-inch Asus Zenfone Go still retains the same midrange set of specifications as its smaller brother. It has a 5.5-inch 720p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM to run things up.
There’s also a 13-megapixel primary camera that should take decent photos and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies. To power everything up, there’s a 3000mAh battery.
