Here’s another unveiling from ASUS just before the new year.
The Taiwanese company wants to cover all their bases so they’re launching an entry-level smartphone in the form of ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE (ZB450KL). The design is reminiscent of the Zenfone 2 family which was widely popular more than a year ago.
But unlike it’s bigger siblings, this one’s not as enticing because of its rather weak internals. First off, it has a low resolution 4.5-inch 480 x 854 pixel resolution screen which is no longer nice to look at in this day and age. An old Snapdragon 410 chipset runs the show together with a middling 1GB of RAM and Adreno 306 graphics. It’s usable for basic smartphone tasks, but don’t expect it to be powerful enough to handle demanding games and the like.

The ASUS Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE features Android Marshmallow out of the box with Zen UI 2.0 on top. It measures 136.5 x 66.7 x 11.2 mm around the body and weighs 135 grams.
At its price point, it’s a bit hard to recommend considering that there are other options like the Cherry Mobile Flare 5 which has 3GB of RAM. However, if you’re willing to pay premium for the brand, then go ahead and buy it.
It will be available in Charcoal Black, Gold, Silver Blue, Glamour Red Matte, and Silver metallic finish. The Zenfone Go 4.5 LTE has a price of Rs. 6,999 ($103) and it can now be purchased online in India. Roll out to retail stores will be done by the end of the year.
