Cherry Mobile has been teasing a new smartphone lately with a 4,000mAh battery on their Facebook page. While hardly anything else has been revealed yet about the device, a trusted tipster has provided the complete specs and revealed the name of the new device to be the Cherry Mobile Fuze.
Aside from the massive battery, the aptly named Fuze will sport a 5 inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage. Other specs include Android 4.2 out of the box, 3.5G/HSPA+ connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. SRP is pegged at Php5,499.
As far as phones with massive batteries go, CloudFone was recently the only local brand that was pushing them. Then Cherry Mobile came out with an optional 6,000mAh battery pack for the Titan 2.0. However, the Cherry Mobile Fuze should offer the best performance out of all local phones with battery capacities of 4,000mAh or more. Its MediaTek MT6582 SoC typically scores in excess of 17,000 on Antutu.

The Cherry Mobile Fuze is shaping up to be a pretty good option if you’re looking for a massive battery in a phone that doesn’t compromise on performance. The screen is a bit of a letdown, but at Php5,499, I’m not complaining. [Sources: 1, 2 | Photos courtesy of Cherry Angel]
