This machine joins the trend of e-book readers with smartphone-like processors. This one is powered by a UNISOC T610 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.
It ships with an Android 10 operating system with a decent 3,000mAh battery.

While it does run on Android, Hisense used a clean and efficient interface to match the display. Oh, and of course, it comes with a couple of features meant for book lovers. For one, the UI gives you easy access to your bookshelf, book store, apps, and settings.
The Hisense Hi Reader is available in China for CNY1,799 (around Php14,500). Other alternatives include the Mi Reader Pro or the fancy MatePad Paper from Huawei.
