HMD has introduced the first phones that use their own brand. Meet the HMD Pulse series, which include the vanilla HMD Pulse, HMD Pulse Plus, and the HMD Pulse Pro. Like their Nokia phones, these devices are aimed towards the entry-level and midrange market.
As per the company, the HMD Pulse series was built for “Gen 1 repairability” and will allow users to easily fix certain hardware issues by getting self-repair kits from iFixit. Now, let’s talk about the trio individually.

The cheapest of the three, the HMD Pulse, is powered by a UNISOC T606 processor, with a 90Hz HD+ display, a 13-megapixel main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery. It is also IP52 dust and water-resistant, and runs on the latest Android 14 OS with a promise of 2 Android upgrades and 3 years of security patches — which the whole series will have. It retails for EUR99 (~Php6,100).
