Chinese brand Honor just introduced a couple of non-smartphones recently. One of them is their latest tablet, the Honor Pad 8.
The Honor Pad 8 boasts an enormous screen for a mid-range processor. Still, the chip on this thing is quite powerful as it’s the Snapdragon 680 from Qualcomm. Sadly, it doesn’t come with a 4G LTE cellular version — at least just for now, if we’re lucky.

On the front, we have an enormous 12-inch screen with a 2000 x 1200 resolution. At 194 pixels-per-inch, it’s definitely not the sharpest. However, the large size means you have a lot of room for school or work.
The screen is surrounded by uniform bezels with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera on top. To take full advantage of the screen size, Honor’s Magic UI 6.1 has a special split-screen mode that works on over 6,000 apps.

Floating windows are also present for a better multitasking experience. Plus, you can mirror the screen of select Honor smartphones so you don’t have to be holding two devices at once, plus, easily transfer files between devices.
Around the back, we have a clean design that has the same 5-megapixel sensor. Keeping the lights on is a relatively small 7,250mAh battery that charges via the 22.5W USB Type-C charger. Despite this, the device is only 6.9mm thin.

The Honor Pad 8 comes in 4GB/128GB and 6GB/128GB variants for a price of CNY1,399 (around Php11,700) and CNY1,799 (around Php15,000), respectively. Release details in markets outside China are yet to be detailed.
