The new HONOR Play 60 Plus comes out as a new budget-friendly smartphone from the company sporting a fast display, an extra large battery, and a robust build quality.
With the HONOR Play 60 Plus, you’re getting a 5,000mAh battery that’s relatively bigger than the 5,000mAh capacity most of its competition has. As per HONOR, it can last for up to 24 hours of video streaming, 62 hours of music playback, and 11 hours of video calls. It is joined by a 35W charger.
It also has a durable build as it received an SGS five-star rating for drop resistance. It is also IP64 rated for being dust and water resistance.
The Play 60 Plus is also equipped with stereo speakers with 300% volume boost mode. It should pair well with the rather low-resolution 6.77-inch HD+ display, but with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 850 nits of peak brightness.
There’s a punch-hole on top of the screen for the 5-megapixel selfie camera while on the back, we have a 50-megapixel main shooter and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
As a cherry on top, the device runs on the latest Android 14-based MagicOS 8.0 interface. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security.
The HONOR Play 60 Plus has an SRP of CNY1,499 (~Php12,100) for the 12GB/256GB and CNY1,699 (~Php13,700) for the 12GB/512GB model. It’s now listed in China. No confirmation yet if it will be launching internationally.
