HUAWEI just announced the new MatePad Pro 12.2 2024 edition with a cool new display feature.
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 2024 features a dual-layer OLED display. It’s a tech similar to the iPad Pro models that lets you max out the brightness up to 2,000 nits, has better contrast, lasts 3x longer than most OLED panels, and consumes 33% less power.
What’s more, the screen has a whopping 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio, Delta-E < 1 calibration, a sharp 2.8K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and a tall 3:2 aspect ratio that’s great for productivity. A lot of the display specs are similar to the more affordable MatePad Air 2024.
The screen also has HUAWEI’s PaperMatte coating that lessens reflections and lets you use the 3rd-gen HUAWEI M-Pencil stylus smoothly.
Sadly, they didn’t mention the processor they used on this one. But being a high-end device, it may have the Kirin 9010 chip from their flagship phone, the Pura 70 series.
What they did confirm is that it has up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. There’s also a large 10,100mAh battery with 100W fast charging technology.
For the cameras, we have a 13-megapixel main shooter on the back, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and a 16-megapixel on the front.
Other notable features are HarmonyOS 4.2 which handles the software, AI writing tools, AI Notes, and Beidou satellite messaging.
The HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2 2024 is listed in China with the prices listed below. Global release details are still unknown.
