Huawei just unveiled another member of the MediPad line of devices. This device comes with GSM communications and a fast 3G connectivity to help you be productive all day without needing to carry a bulky device.
This tablet is likely a notch up from the recently announced Huawei MediaPad 7 Vogue which also come with phone capabilities but with less stellar specs.
Huawei MediaPad Youth rocks a high-speed 28nm dual-core 1.6GHz processor and powerful GPU for all you gaming and productivity needs. It also has a long lasting 4100mAh Li-Polymer battery to keep up with your schedule for a day. The 7-inch screen has an impressive 1080p display which results to around 315 of ppi. This type of pixel packed display is on the ‘Retina’ level (like the iPad 4, etc) so that means it’s extremely sharp. It supports input of up to 10 fingers simultaneously.
The design of the Huawei MediaPad Youth is housed in a 19.34cm long polished aluminum metal unibody and is considerably thin at 9.9mm. It’s also not that heavy at 350g. This tablet has all the usual connectivity options on other tablets and is running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
It is expected to compete with the ASUS Fonepad so we expect the same or a even a slightly cheaper price tag.
The Huawei MediaPad Youth will be available in Europe, China, Russia, Middle East, and Asia Pacific in the Q3 of 2013.
