Another week, another Infinix budget phone. Now, we have the new Infinix Smart 8 Plus.
The Infinix Smart 8 Plus has the usual specs and features of an entry-level device. For starters, it has a humble MediaTek Helio G36 octa-core processor, paired with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

On the front, we have a 6.6-inch IPS LCD, with a high 90Hz refresh rate but, as expected, only with an HD+ resolution. Possibly its best feature is the ultra-large 6,000mAh battery with a decent 18W fast charging.
We also have a sharp 50-megapixel main camera with a distinct quad-LED ring flash. To accommodate the underwhelming hardware, it had to run on Android 13 Go with, still, XOS 13 interface on top. Infinix’s Dynamic Island-like feature also works here.

The Infinix Smart 8 Plus has an SRP of INR7,799 (~Php5,300) in India and will be available on Flipkart come March 9. Release details in the Philippines are yet to be known.
