I just love it when local phone brands go all out where it counts. While the upcoming Kata i4 doesn’t rock the best octa-core CPU, it does max out just about everything else. As abundant as octa-core phones are locally these days, it’s kind of rare to see one paired with 2GB RAM and a whopping 32GB of frigging storage.

In addition to the monster RAM and storage, you’re also getting a 16mp rear-facing autofocus camera and 8mp front camera, as well as Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,300mAh battery. About the only spec the Kata i4 cuts corners is the HD screen, but seriously, who can tell the difference HD and Full HD when the screen is just 5 inches?

So when can we expect the Kata i4 to arrive? Pretty soon I suspect since Kata Digital HK has started to hype the phone to what should be an imminent release. Hopefully, we won’t see it break the Php10k mark though.

  1. more cores for muti threading or apps. quadcore is enough for single threaded apps kht heavy pa. So do the math. Makes sense?

  2. i have my kata i3s already and i’m very satisfied with the performance, so i think this kata i4 is also good to buy…. hope! magkaroon din ako nito at mas bumaba pa ang price pag release na sa market…

  3. WTF! tsk tsk – octa-core phone with only 2300mAH battery? kahit power efficient pa yung processor, as long as you add 4 more cores with bump clock speeds, this add extra power consumption to phone, with battery that just size – goodness me – expect around 2 days for only “pure” standby mode and around 16 hours for medium to heavy use. Kata should have been generous in increasing the battery capacity since the processor was bumped up.

    1. Just so you know dude, only 2-3 cores are used in even heavy operations sa phone mo.

          1. try muh compare Cloudfone muh xa full specs nian, tgnan ntin kng may pglalagyan yang Octacore na Cloudfone muh..baka maya, benta muh agad yan eh..hehe

    1. Hehe. Nice one. I’ll definitely recommend these phone if the price is 5k or less. I’d rather choose Zenfone 5 if the price goes up within 6k – Remur

      1. That should not be on 5k on its price considering its awesome specs..hnd ka dn mayabang eh noh..may 5k pa nalalaman, dpat dyan pagawa sarliling phone na same specs or higher specs for only 5k..ngaun na XD
