Nowadays people turn to smartphones to help them get some aid on their work – specifically on checking emails and other job-related stuff. That’s what makes android phones appealing, as they continue to provide the needs even on the go as long as you have an internet connection, without needing a computer.

Smartphones with monstrous battery don’t really come too often, and that’s why we are really excited when a new kid comes along. Lenovo is already known to make such devices like the Lenovo P700, P700i, and S880 but this is their most interesting release to date.

Lenovo P770 Philippines

Lenovo P770 is one of those few who exceeded the 3000mAh barrier and when we talk about that amount, that means its made to last like a tank – taking all your app and game usage with ease. Lots of android phones today still carry the battery problem which Android is known for before even though most manufacturers have learned their lesson. But still, some don’t, and some take the lead.

The Lenovo P770 has a heavy duty 3500mAh battery which tops the Galaxy Note 2‘s 3100mAh. Also, the innards are not on par with the quad-core device and the screen difference is significantly large. But despite that, the Lenovo P770 still packs the punch that both casual and advance smartphone users would enjoy.

It flaunts a 4.5-inch qHD (960×540) IPS display which equates to around 245 of pixel density – a really good number in terms of clarity. It packs a 1.2GHz MTK6577T processor to go along with 1GB of RAM to run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and make you feel the impact of Google’s Project Butter. When compared to cheaper alternatives, the Lenovo P770 outshines them CPU wise as it packs a slightly better variant of the Mediatek processor. While it may not be that impressive as it sounds, I bet this configuration is already sufficient for an average person’s needs. But in case you’re into  gaming, you’re better off with a quad-core CPU, GPU, and 1GB or 2GB of RAM. I’m not saying this android phone cannot take the graphics extensive games, it actually can but you need to deal with a few stutters from time to time.

Lenovo P770 Specs

  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • Dual-SIM, Dual Standby
  • 4.5-inch qHD (540×960) IPS capacitive display, 245ppi
  • 1.2 GHz Dual Core MT6577T Processor
  • PowerVR SGX531 GPU
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4GB internal storage
  • supports microSD up to 32GB
  • 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash
  • 720p HD video recording
  • VGA front camera
  • Bluetooth
  • FM Radio
  • GPS, A-GPS support
  • Dimensions: 133 x 67 x 11.9mm
  • Weight: 161g
  • Li-Ion 3,500mAh battery

Another awesome feature that Lenovo P770 has is the USB OTG. It’s the ability to hook up a flashdrive or external hard drive so that you can copy or transfer files in between them. That’s a cool and very useful feature if you’ll ask me, especially if you’re a student who constantly use a flashdrive for all the school and paper works you do.

Lenovo P770 is a solid android phone and the best part of it is its not-so-expensive price tag considering all the things that you’ll be getting. For Php11,999, you’ll get a fairly fast processor, usually more than enough RAM, decent GPU, and Android Jelly Bean on top. It’s not the cheapest deal out there, as the Cherry Mobile Omega HD is thousands cheaper at only Php7,999, but if battery life and good quality is what you’re after, then Lenovo P770 is the obvious choice.

What do you guys think? Will you pay Php12k for Lenovo P770? Let us know in the comments!

  1. in transferring contract na vcf file… kasi yun yung main concern ko aside sa battery life. from cherry mobile kasi, kakaback up umabot ng 13,000 contacts… hindi ba mahihirapan open sa p770? tsaka ako magbubura or there is another option? I AM DESPERATE. ang gamit ko ngayon cherry mobile flare… naiinis lang po kasi ako… sobra sa cherry mobile flare ko… bibili na po kasi sana ako. kahapon i was testing the K860 model ng lenovo… ang bagal mag upgrade ng email ng phone, nauna pa ang flare sa kanya mag update sa gmail ng phone. does this hold true for anyone?

  2. hi noypigeeks, need help. how do you root lenovo a690? have this phone, great for its price and specs, but the internal storage is low. id like to install link2sd app on it, but requires the phone to be rooted.

    help please

  3. ang gusto ko lang tlga sa unit na ito yung battery. i have lenovo k860 pero prang nagsisi ako para kasing di mo maramdaman yung established name na LENOVO pag dating sa mga mobile unit nila. i know lenovo is one of the best pagdating sa pc, laptops pero pagdating sa mga phones…naku parang di kayang makipag compete sa samsung, lg. sony. kahit sa huawei., kung tutuusin dapat nga mas angat pa sila sa mga brand na ito pero parang lamang lang sila sa mga local brands natin e

sorry sa mga lenovo fans diyan….Gusto ko ang lenovo pc ko gusto ko rin yung thinkpad ko tlgng one of the best…. pero sa smart phones medyo kulang pa sana makapaglabas din kayo ng one of the best the smart phones

    1. sir ung mga unit that you mentioned eh hindi naman ka level ng lenovo p770. high end phones na kasi un

  4. good specs naman bagay lng sa price kc lenovo ehh.. halos pareho cla ng specs ng galaxy s3 mini pero lamang nga lng ang lenovo sa processor at battery life.. ang ganda ng battery life…

  5. the battery speaks for this, though 5 MP cam isn’t bad at all
Php. 12k Lenovo P770 up for grab

  6. I’ll definitely go for this than more expensive quad core smartphones. not like samsung and other brands parang pangalan lang nagpapamahal.

    1. u cant compare this budget phone to samsung..mahawakan mo pa lang yung s2 or s3 ng samsung ay maramdaman at makita mo agad pinagkaiba nila..ur comparing ips to samsung super amoled gorillla glass?

            God Bless every one!!
