Lenovo just announced an affordable quad-core android phone to compete with other China android makers. It’s not a very compelling handset though, but the low price is just right for its features. Check out the rest of its features below.
The Lenovo S920 is a 5.3-inch android phone with HD (1280×720 pixel resolution) IPS display, 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, 1GB RAM, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on-board. In terms of looks, it’s pretty obvious that it borrows a lot of its design from the HTC One X. The S920 is also ultra-thin measuring at only 7.9mm just like the Galaxy S4. It also has an 8-megapixel autofocus main camera with LED flash, 2-megapixel front camera, and a 2250mAh battery to juice up the phone.
The Lenovo S920 is a very nice deal at $350 ( around Php16,000)but considering the massive competition in China, it might go unnoticed. Other manufacturers are already eyeing on making cheap full HD display android phones so Lenovo should catch up once they get out on the market.
We still don’t have any idea if this will be brought to our country by Lenovo Philippines but we’ll let you know once we get some information. If we’ll pit this on local HD phones such as Cherry Mobile Omega HD and Starmobile Diamond, it’s likely to be disregarded due to its relatively high price tag. But still, it has a quad-core CPU and it’s made by a well established brand so that’s still a huge advantage.
