Another new addition to the Optimus Family in the Philippines comes with LG Optimus L5 E612. This new device is equipped with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and aside from that, uh – a mere 800MHz processor? Yeah, this baby doesn’t seem to have those killer features but let me tell you that is not always based on specs – at least for me.

The LG Optimus L5 will be selling for Php10,990 and is going head to head with another new ICS android phone – the  Lenovo P700 which has a better screen of IPS LCD, a faster processor of 1GHz, a 512MB of RAM, and a huge battery capacity of 2500mAh. However, the Lenovo P700 only have a 755MB of internal memory which is way smaller when compared to LG Optimus L5’s 4GB of storage. Let us take a look in the complete specifications:

LG Optimus L5 price
The specifications of the unit really seem to be a bit low for its price especially with its closest competitors – Lenovo P700 and Cherry Mobile W900 are carrying a 1GHz chip with them. This phone really seem to look good but LG may have considered to lower the price a little bit since it doesn’t have much to offer. HTC Desire V, a dual-SIM android phone also comes near with Php16,990.

For early takers, LG is giving away FREE Jelly cover if they buy in participating LG Mobile Official dealers. Promo period is from July 6, 2012 (10:00AM) to July 31, 2012 (Store closing). LG Optimus L5 price in the Philippines is Php10,990 and is now available in official retailers nationwide.

  1. how
come there isn’t any news about the L7?
I am so close to winning the
phone from the LG Philippine facebook event that I want more information
    about it.

  2. I like using the L5, this is smart buy. Although it has low resolution of 320x480p, it has Adreno 200 GPU so it is good for gaming. It also has longer battery life so, nice for mobility. Higher resolution consumes much of energy. It is good to buy for the use of internet, call and text, gaming and other applications.

So, I recommend buying this phone. But if you have more budget, go for L7 or 4x. This is a smart buy for middle smartphone.
