LG Philippines has released the mid-range smartphone with an Always On screen.

The LG X Screen has two displays; one 4.93-inch HD primary screen and a secondary 1.76-inch display. The second display will be used with the Always On feature, wherein it will be able to display notifications while the main screen is turned off. The technology is similar to that of the LG V10, while Samsung’s implementation involve the whole display.

The chipset used in the device is kinda underwhelming, as it’s already old and lots of other good options are available at this point. But nevertheless, the main attraction of this phone is the Always On screen feature of the secondary display. The X Screen is the first mid-range phone to get this capability. It’s running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and that’s a good thing as these kind of phones rarely see an update.

The LG X Screen is now available for purchase in LG dealers nationwide for a price of Php9,990.
