“Can life be endless?” That’s the question/tagline posed by Micromax’s latest teaser videos for its upcoming Canvas 4 smartphone. Believed to be the Indian smartphone manufacturer’s next flagship device, the handset seems likely to come with a full-HD display and, as perhaps suggested by the tagline, long battery life.
Very few details about the device’s specifications have been released so far. If the rumors are true, the Canvas 4 will sport an 8-core mobile processor. But don’t expect the processing power to be as fast as that of the Samsung Galaxy S4 though, since the CPU will likely be a Mediatek MTK 6599 chipset instead of the superior Exynos 5 processor. As seen in the teaser video, the rear camera is confirmed to have a 13-megapixel resolution.
The Canvas 4 is just one of 30 smartphones that Micromax has planned to release this year. Since this latest handset, the company released earlier this year a couple of high-profile devices, such as Canvas HD (MyPhone A919i Duo), Canvas Music, Bolt A35, Canvas 3D (MyPhone A919 3D Duo), and more. Many of these devices were well received in India that there were even shortages in stock and waiting periods that lasted for as long as two weeks.
Pre-orders for the Micromax Canvas 44 are expected to start within two weeks, specifically on June 28. Official launch in India is reported to be around the second week of July.
We all know that MyPhone and Micromax has the same manufacturer from China so we can probably expect this smartphone to join MP’s android line-up in the coming months though there’s no assurance that it will land here. What do you guys think?

”Believed to be the Indian smartphone manufacturer’s next flagship device”
COME ON….All smartphones are made in CHINA, India or Thailand doesn’t have the manpower and facilities to manufacture their own phone!…puhleeeeezzz get your facts straight
Eto nanaman siguro yung Final weapon na irerebrand ng MP, Against CM and SM.
oo nga
have my doubts with the octa-core cpu on canvas 4. they would most probably use the mtk6589T which ist that bad as long as they stick with a 720p screen (16k+ antutu at par with sg3). just wish they would fit a snapdragon processor if their planning to use a 1080p screen.
