HMD Global silently launched a new entry-level Android smartphone, the Nokia C2. The device is the successor of Nokia C1 and will be a new contender in the budget smartphone category.

As posted on HMD’s website, the Nokia C2 sports a 5.7-inch HD+ IPS display. Optics-wise, it has a single 5-megapixel rear camera, paired with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter.

The Nokia C2 comes powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, an underwhelming 1GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage of up to 64GB. It runs Android 9 Pie (Go Edition) as its operating system.

As expected, the Nokia C2 will have 4G LTE support, with both dual SIM and single SIM variants. In terms of battery, it has a 2,800 mAh battery with micro-USB 5V/1A compatible charging. It will also have a 3.5mm audio jack and an FM radio receiver

Customers may choose between cyan or black in terms of color. HMD Global has not provided the official pricing and availability. Likewise, no word has been given if this will be available in the Philippines.
