PLDT announced that it will give a 30-day payment extension to all postpaid users of PLDT Home, PLDT Enterprise, Smart, and Sun due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
In a Facebook post of PLDT, the company said that they acknowledge the importance of connectivity in this tough time of COVID-19 outbreak. They added that they hope that PLDT subscribers will be able to work or study from home and be able to get the right information with regard to health concerns.
Earlier, Smart, PLDT’s wireless subsidiary has also provided free wifi to key hospitals and transport hubs in Metro Manila. PLDT, on the other hand, announced that it will boost Fiber internet speeds in Metro Manila, Cavite, Rizal, Laguna, and Bulacan.

Meanwhile, Globe Telecom will also implement a 30-day extension of postpaid payments for its mobile and broadband users. The company added that they are at one with the Filipinos in this trying time. The 30-day extension will start from the due date of the subscriber.
Currently, many parts of the Philippines including Metro Manila are under “community quarantine” in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. As of writing, there are 140 confirmed cases in the country, with 11 casualty.
