O+ 8.12 and O+ 8.9 Jelly Bean Update rolling out, OTA coming soon

O+ 8.9 and O+ 8.12 users have something to rejoice for as their android phones get the much awaited Jelly Bean update. These two were the top of the line smartphones from O Plus a couple of months ago that’s why they got the privilege to enjoy the Jelly Bean goodness unlike the cheaper siblings.

We’ve inquired about this Jelly Bean update on the O Plus 8.12 and O Plus told us that it will come in early Q2 of 2013. As promised, here is the much anticipated Jelly Bean treatment. But what can you expect after the update? Well, the most notable thing would be the revamped notifications and the improved overall smoothness thanks to Project Butter.

The new wave of O+ android phones are now running on Jelly Bean as well so if you’re still on the fence in choosing your next smartphone, you can try out the O+ 8.52 and O+ 8.6 android phones which offers good specs for only Php,5995 and Php7,995, respectively.

To get the update, you need to go to to their nearest service center to get your device upgraded. In case you’re far from any of their SCs, you don’t have to worry as O+ is currently working on the OTA (over-the-air) update too and it will be out soon.
