The foldable flip phone market continues to heat up as OPPO launches the new Find N3 Flip in China, just a few months after its predecessor made it to the global scene.
Not a lot is new on the OPPO Find N3 Flip as it’s essentially a refinement over the Find N2 Flip, but with a substantial camera upgrade. It’s one of the first foldable phones to take photography seriously.
It has a similar camera hardware as the OnePlus 11 — complete with Hasselblad technology. There’s a 50-megapixel main shooter with OIS, joined by a sharp 48-megapixel ultra-wide, and 32-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom that should be perfect for portraits.
A 32-megapixel selfie camera is on the main 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED foldable screen with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Like the main display, the 3.26-inch cover screen is essentially the same as last year’s. It’s an AMOLED panel with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. But this year, OPPO has improved the software so select apps can work in full-screen mode on the cover display, giving the second screen more use.
The Find N3 Flip is also the first OPPO-branded phone to have OnePlus’s Alert Slider that lets you quickly mute the device.
Of course, it gets an upgraded hardware. It is now powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor, with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage.
The battery has a 4,300mAh capacity, like last year’s, and the same 44W fast charging.
Those who are in China can get the OPPO Find N3 Flip for a price of CNY6,799 (~Php52,900) for the 12GB/256GB variant and CNY7,599 (~Php59,200) for the 12GB/512GB. Global release details are yet to be announced.
