The HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro has been unveiled in China in all its glory — well, not “all” actually, since the company didn’t reveal the processor they used for some reason.
Still, the rest of the hardware is really interesting, primarily the triple punch-hole on top of the 6.82-inch LTPO OLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s for the 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera of the HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro, as well as the sensors and lasers for the 3D face mapping for the face unlock.
Oh, and the screen is protected by HUAWEI’s popular 2nd-generation Kunlun Glass that’s known to be tough and durable.
On the back, we have a familiar camera layout with a large ring of glass that holds the 50-megapixel main camera with OIS and variable aperture of f/1.4-f/4.0. There’s also a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 48-megapixel periscope-style telephoto with OIS.
While the camera layout is the same, the design of the back panel looks fresh with a horizontal curve at the lower area that looks like the corners of the Earth peaking from the endless bounds of space.
It then has a standard 5,000mAh battery with 88W wired charging paired with an impressive 50W wireless and 20W reverse wireless charging. Satellite messaging is also supported in China.
The HUAWEI Mate 60 Pro is available in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 12GB/1TB configurations. However, only the 512GB has a price for now, which is at CNY6,999 (~Php54,500). Its availability in the Philippines shall be announced shortly after it makes its global debut.
