It’s been running around the rumor mill for years, but finally, they are here. Yup, we said “they” as we’re getting two new OPPO Find devices this year — the OPPO Find X2 and OPPO Find X2 Pro.
The Find series is a once-in-every-few-years type of device. Which is why it’s only now that we’re getting the OPPO Find X2 and X2 Pro, the successor to the Find X from almost two years ago.
We’re finally done with the pop-up camera phase. With the Find X2 models, we’re getting a punch-hole on the top left of the screen for the single selfie camera.
The tiny hole on the camera disappears in this gigantic 6.7-inch QHD+ OLED screen that melts on the sides. It has a tall 20:9 aspect ratio, and a fast 120Hz refresh rate, just like the Galaxy S20 series.
The OPPO Find X2 and X2 Pro will have Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection.
Another highlight of these devices is, of course, the flagship cameras. The OPPO Find X2 Pro will have two 48-megapixel cameras. The first one is a Sony IMX689 sensor with dual-pixel autofocus and OIS.
The second one is a Sony IMX586 sensor for ultra-wide shots. We also have a 13-megapixel telephoto lens that can do 5x of optical zoom and up to 60x of magnification. It’s equipped with an optical image stabilizer for steadier shots.
Meanwhile, the vanilla OPPO Find X2 will only come with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, 12-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 13-megapixel telephoto that can only do 3x and 20x of optical and digital zoom, respectively.
Another key difference between the two is the design. The OPPO Find X2 Pro sports a Ceramic Black that is, of course, made of Ceramic. We also have the Vegan Orange Leather that’s similar to the Mate 30 Pro 5G. It’s also IP65 water and dust resistant.
On the other hand, the OPPO Find X2 has a slightly boring Corning Gorilla Glass 6 panel on the back. The IP rating was also downgraded to IP54 for minor dust and water splashes protection.
Moreover, the Pro model gets to enjoy a marginally bigger 4,260mAh battery, versus the 4,200mAh on the latter. But both devices do come with 65W of fast charging.
Both models will also share the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 flagship processors, with 12GB of RAM, 512GB of onboard storage, and 5G support.
The OPPO Find X2 has a retail price of EUR999 (~Php56,900) while the Find X2 Pro costs EUR1,199 (~Php68,900). Their official pricing and release date here in the Philippines are yet to be announced.
