Pantech’s new Vega Iron android phone was finally unveiled in South Korea and it didn’t actually lived up through the hype of a ‘zer0 bezel’ display. But, it still has the world’s thinnest bezel on a smartphone to date. I mean, just look at that photo.

The Pantech Vega Iron has an ultra thin 2.4mm bezel on each side which looks incredibly sleek. For comparison, if you’ve seen an iPhone 5 before, it measures just half of the handset’s bezel. The design is definitely its asset, but there’s more things to get exciting about.

Pantech Vega Iron sports the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and same 2GB amount of RAM like other international brands which means that this bad boy will pack enormous power to suite your android needs. It has a 13-megapixel main camera, and 2.1 front camera which are both capable of 1080p video recording. It has all other standard connectivity features that you would expect from a smartphone plus the power of LTE. The Pantech Vega Iron is really a great device but the 5-inch HD in-cell LCD display (1280x720p) and measly 2150 mAh battery are unexpected downers for some. 2013 is the year of 1080p displays but it looks like Pantech have other things in mind.

The Pantech Vega Iron will come in black and while and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean installed. No official word on the pricing yet but we’ll let you know once we get some details.
