The Red Magic 8S Pro comes out sporting brand-new hardware, a refreshing design, and other refinements.
With the Red Magic 8S Pro, you’re getting the newer Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 processor. There’s also a Red Magic 8S Pro Plus model that uses the same chip but with a higher 3.36GHz CPU and 719MHz GPU clock speeds.
The Plus model also boasts twice the RAM capacity at 24GB, while the standard version is capped at 12GB. The chipset is mated to a better ICE 12 cooling system, with all models now sporting RGB lighting for the fans.
Both models come with 6.8-inch AMOLED screens with 2480 x 1116 pixel resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 1,300-nits peak brightness, DC dimming, and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Touch sampling is at 960Hz for better responsiveness in gaming.
Keeping the lights on is a 6,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging. Oh, and of course, it has two shoulder triggers at 520Hz touch sampling with 7.4ms response time for better controls on games.
A 16-megapixel sensor is used for selfies, while on the back, there’s a 50-megapixel Samsung sensor, joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and 2-megapixel macro.
The Red Magic 8S Pro is now up for pre-order in China, release details in the Philippines are yet to be known. You can check the prices and specs below.
