ZTE’s gaming brand nubia has finally launched its first tablet. There’s no official naming, so we’ll just call it the Red Magic Tablet, and since it’s from nubia, it is powerful enough to be considered as a gaming tablet.
The Red Magic Tablet comes with a flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 octa-core processor, with up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of internal storage. It also comes with the brand’s ICE Magic cooling system, similar to what’s found on the Magic 8S Pro.
It then has an enormous 12.1-inch IPS display, with a 2500 x 1600 pixel resolution, an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, and 240hz touch sampling. Besides the visuals, it also has a pretty packed audio department with its quad-speaker setup with DTS tuning.
The display is so large you can put it on a stand, and pair it with a mouse and keyboard or a console controller for a better gaming experience.
A 16-megapixel selfie camera can be seen on one of the uniform bezels of the display, while on the back, there’s a lower-resolution 13-megapixel sensor.
Made to perform, the tablet has a generous 10,000mAh battery, which can be fully charged in only about 55 minutes with the 80W fast charger.
The Red Magic Tablet comes in 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB models for a price of CNY3,899 (~Php29,900) and CNY4,599 (~Php35,200), respectively. They will be available in China come July 11. You can get it with a Smart Magnetic Keyboard for CNY599 (~Php4,600) or stylus for CNY399 (~Php3,00). No word yet if it’s also coming to the Philippines.
