Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi 10 Prime that boasts a couple of killer specs for the price.
The new Redmi 10 Prime is essentially the same as the global Redmi 10 that came out back in August. Only this time, the 5,000mAh battery has been upgraded to a 6,000mAh capacity.
Everything else is the same. It’s still powered by a gaming-centric MediaTek Helio G88 processor that you can pair with either 4GB and 6GB of RAM and 64GB and 128GB of storage.
On the front, there’s a 6.5-inch FHD+ screen with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. There’s a punch-hole on top of it for the selfie camera.
You can find one of its highlight features on the back. Here we have an ultra-sharp 50-megapixel main camera, which we’re starting to see on more and more entry-level phones. It’s joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide and two 2-megapixel sensors.
The 10 Prime then runs on the latest MIUI 12.5 operating system that’s based on Android 11.
Those who are in India get first dibs on the Redmi 10 Prime for a price of INR12,499 (around Php8,500) for the4GB/64GB model while the 6GB/128GB is at INR14,999 (around Php10,200). It will be available on Xiaomi’s website, Amazon India, and retailers across the country starting September 7. We’re yet to see any Redmi Prime model in the Philippines, so we may get the global Redmi 10 instead.
