Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi K70 Extreme Edition which offers a couple of over-the-top specs and features.
The Redmi K70 Extereme is powered by a Dimensity 9300+ processor, one of the most powerful chips MediaTek has ever made. You can get it with up to a whopping 24GB of RAM (physical, not with virtual expansion) and 1TB of internal storage.
What’s more, it comes with a special D1 discrete graphics chip. This 12nm display processor can do 3x interpolation up to 1.2K resolution to enable 144Hz content. Xiaomi also claims that it can reduce power consumption when gaming by about 15%.
All this hardware is cooled by a special 3D vapor chamber that can reduce temps by up to 3 degrees.
What’s more, we have a 6.67-inch 2.8K OLED display with a high 144Hz refresh rate and 4,000 nits of peak brightness. There’s also the 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling and 3840Hz PWM dimming for eye safety.
On the back, we have a striking yet oddly clean-looking camera island. It holds the 50-megapixel IMX906 main camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. A 20-megapixel selfie camera is on the front.
Keeping the lights on is a large 5,500mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It is aided by Xiaomi’s G1 chip to keep tabs on the device’s battery health and the Xiaomi P2 chip that regulates charging.
It comes in three standard colors: White, Black, and Blue. There are also two Championship Edition models with Lamborghini branding that are available in Orange and Green.
The Redmi K70 Extreme is available in a 12GB/256GB variant for a price of CNY2,599 (~Php20,900), 12GB/512GB for CNY2,899 (~Php23,300), 16GB/512GB for CNY3,199 (~Php25,700), and 16GB/1B for CNY3,599 (~Php28,900). The top-tier 24GB/1TB model is only available for the Championship Edition variants with a price of CNY3,999 (~Php32,100). Like its predecessors, it may arrive in the Philippines under a different name.
