In the recent months, smartphones with triple rear cameras have started to gain popularity in the market. Being one of the biggest names in mobile photography, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy A7 2018, a device that taunts the said camera feature.
Handsets with triple rear cameras have been popularized by the Huawei P20 Pro, a flagship device that’s one of the best camera phones in the industry today. The P20 Pro’s success might be what the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 wants to replicate.
UPDATE: Its official price in the Philippines is Php17,990.
This device has a 5-megapixel depth-sensing camera, a 24-megapixel main sensor, and an 8-megapixel one with an ultra-wide lens. Most people might find having a dedicated camera with a wider field of view more usable than the monochrome sensor that the P20 Pro has.
Right on the front we also have a 24-megapixel, partnered with an adjustable LED flash. Of course, it doesn’t fall short in novelties. The front camera has a Selfie Focus feature for the Bokeh-like effect, as well as Pro Lighting Mode, AR Emojis, and tons of built-in filters.
As for the rest of the specs, the Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 comes with a 6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen, a 3,300mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.
Samsung also relocated the fingerprint scanner to the sides. Which provides a really clean look, and can be a cheaper alternative to the in-display fingerprint scanner that more expensive devices have.
The disappointing part is, Samsung didn’t officially reveal the device’s chipset. Although they did say that it will be a 2.2GHz octa-core processor, and that the entire chipset might differ by market.

Papatawa na naman samsung, napagiiwanan na kasi sila. Tinatalo na sila ng chinese brands like xiaomi, huawei. kuha pa ng celebrity endorsers, jack up pa sa presyo, tapos mediocre specs ng phone.
