Samsung has unveiled a new smartphone — the Galaxy J7 Prime 2.
The first J7 Prime was introduced way back in 2016. Since it’s not a flagship, it doesn’t get the yearly refreshes others get. Almost two years later, we now have its successor, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2.
It features a 5.5-inch 1080p display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass. On the internals, it’s headed by the Exynos 7870 chipset together with 3GB of RAM. The phone runs on the old Android 7.1.1 Nougat, which is a shame for a modern midrange smartphone in 2018.
In terms of camera, Samsung included a total of two (2) 13-megapixel sensors in the front and back. There’s also an LED flash in the rear to help in taking photos when on bad lighting conditions. Another highlight of this new smartphone is its Samsung Mall app which lets people search for products with the help of machine learning technology.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 has a price tag of Rs. 13,990 in India (approximately Php11,300). It will become available in the official Samsung shop and authorized resellers in the country soon. Pricing and availability in other regions are currently unknown as of the moment.
