Samsung’s latest midrange smartphone has been launched in the Philippines. In an event held yesterday, the brand officially introduced their new Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro.
Due to the intense battle on the midrange smartphone ground, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro is here in an attempt to take the crown. In a recent study conducted by GFK Philippines, the OPPO F3 dominated the Php15k-20k smartphone market. Meanwhile, Samsung’s Galaxy A5 was only at second place.
But Samsung just won’t settle for being second best. The new Galaxy J7 Pro is priced at Php15,990, going head to head with the OPPO F3. OPPO’s best-selling flagship is also currently priced the same, thanks to their limited-time Back to School promo. But considering the new threat from Samsung, we may expect OPPO to keep the discounted price forever.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro offers a large 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display. It’s nice to see that the screen on the past Samsung flagship devices can now be found in their midrangers.
This one also brags their own 1.6GHz Exynos octa-core processor, aided by 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T840 GPU.
The J7 Pro might not come with a dual-camera setup, but it has a 13-megapixel camera on both the front and back. There’s also a large 3600mAh battery inside, Android Nougat, and 32GB of internal storage — all housed in an all-metal unibody build.
