After long months of running around the rumor mill, the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus are finally official. And after all the leaks that we already saw, we kind of already knew what these devices are all about.
Both the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus boasts large Super AMOLED screens, with ultra-thin bezels that were made possible by their Infinity-O punch-hole selfie cameras.
The Samsung Galaxy S10 sports a 6.1-inch screen, while the Galaxy S10 Plus is slightly bigger at 6.4-inches. Both devices have a WQHD+ resolution, and a new Dynamic AMOLED screen that Samsung claims can provide better visibility outdoors and color accuracy.
Both models also share an identical rear camera setup. They come with 12-megapixel primary camera with dual apertures and optical image stabilization. The duo also has a 12-megapixel telephoto camera and a 16-megapixel shooter with an ultra wide-angle lens.
But to set them apart, the Galaxy S10 models have different selfie cameras. The cheaper Galaxy S10 model has a single 10-megapixel selfie snapper. While the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has a dual 10-megapixel + 8-megapixel front-facing cameras. Both models have Dual Pixel autofocus and can handle UHD selfies.
Samsung is also introducing its latest ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner on both of these devices. Unlike traditional technology, the Galaxy S10 series’ fingerprint reader can still recognize your print even if your fingers are wet or smudgy.
As for the internals, both the Samsung Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus will be powered by the latest Exynos 9820 processors. Which provides up to 33% of processing and up to 37% of graphics performance improvements with 15% less power consumption over its predecessor.
The Galaxy S10 will be available in an 8GB/128GB RAM and storage configuration, while the Galaxy S10 Plus will come in 8GB/128GB and a whopping 12GB/1TB variant.
Samsung has also brought the reverse wireless charging feature that we saw on the Huawei Mate 20 Pro to the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, and called it as the Wireless PowerShare.
Both the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus are clearly the most premium smartphones that Samsung currently makes. But if you want a slightly more toned down version, you can also check out the Samsung Galaxy S10e.
