Sharp-S7

A new Sharp phone, dubbed as the Sharp S7, was announced for Japan release recently.

The Sharp S7 is said to come from the Sharp Aquos Sense 3 Lite. Unlike the latter, the S7 have a power efficient display and a 4,000 mAh battery. Believe it or not but Sharp has even claimed that the phone can last 1-week on a single charge! Can it be true?

The device has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 CPU and 3GB of RAM. It’s not the best but it is respectable. It has a 5.5 inch IGZO LCD panel display with a 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution.

This new panel uses Sharp’s IGZO LCD energy-saving technology, which allows the phone to save on battery life. This technology is the reason why Sharp is claiming the phone can last one week on a single charge.

Based on the images that surfaced online, the phone appears to have a metal build. Which is somewhat rare as phones are all glass.

At the back, there’s a 12-megapixel main camera with Electronic Image Stabilization. Meanwhile, at the front of the phone is the 8-megapixel selfie camera.

The phone will be running on Android 10 out of the box and will receive major Android updates at a later time. Currently, the phone is slated to be released in Japan only. The Sharp S7 will come in three colors: Peach, Silver and Grey.
